Friday Cats

Here are two of Her Ladyship. Check out that lovely pink tongue:

Now she’s being coy:

As a bonus, here’s a young fellow in a tree:

I goofed about last week’s Carnival of the Cats; it was at House of Chaos and not as printed. Check out tomorrow’s Friday Ark at The Modulator. The next Carnival of the Cats will be up on Sunday at Pets Garden Blog.

Meryl has an incredible post for the High Holy Days.

Go read it while I wait for this pesky lump in my throat to go away.

(True, Roo is not Felis domesticus, but he’ll do, won’t he?)

True Confessions: I Skritched a Leopard

Well, all right. He wasn’t a fully grown leopard. He was a leopard cub. His name is Roo, and he is being hand-raised by a friend of mine who works at the Jerusalem Biblical Zoo.

Here is his spotted little tummy:

Here he is on my lap:

Equal Time

I’ve noticed that the last several posts have a lot of pictures of Missy. It’s time for some balance, so here are a few pics of Her Ladyship a few moments after she decided to lie down on my foot:

Kitty on my foot

Kitty says: You’re not going anywhere!

Is Her Ladyship claiming fealty?

I don’t know about fealty, but she has certainly claimed my foot.

Tummy Tuesday #8

Here, in honor of Tummy Tuesday founder Lisaviolet, is a picture of Missy’s tummy from a few days ago:

Weekly Dose of Cats and Jews

The Carnival of the Cats is up at Watermark.

Haveil Havalim is up at Daled Amos.

I Don’t Know What It Is ...

... but it sure looks interesting, no? Check out how the pattern on its back resembles a face.

Big green bug

(Click on the image to enlarge.)

I didn’t find this one myself. My employer’s young granddaughter did, and called me over to look at it. She was holding her camera and I was holding mine, and we both got several shots.

If anyone out there knows what this critter is, please tell me in the comments. Thanks.

Almost Got It

I was trying to take a picture of the moth, but when I looked at the picture on my computer I noticed the wasp just above it—at least, I think that’s a wasp. The picture could be clearer, but I’m posting it anyway.

Moth and wasp

Oh, so close. Maybe next time.
